Welcome to the story of Marcus and his friends. To get here, you must have played my Interactive Fiction game, River Hill: A Ghost Story, Part 4 and gotten to the ending where the friends are the ghost. If you haven’t followed the story of River Hill: A Ghost Story, you may want to go back to the beginning or catch up on a part that you haven’t read (or played). The link above is where I describe the project and link to Parts 1-4.
What follows is the author’s version of the friends’ story, though it may be no less authoritative than yours or anyone else’s. If you’ve reached this page from my Interactive Fiction, then you’ve met Marcus and Sarah. Ultimately, their story is only their own as long as there are those who can tell it. Even if it is written down as history or narrative, every story is subject to multiple retellings, interpretations, bowdlerizations, even outright fabrications, all of which may be better than being forgotten. This is where I’m going to add my version of the friends’ story, but I haven’t finished that yet. For now, I”m creating the page where you will land.
